Cover of John Peel tribute single designed by Gordy On November 21st 2005, a celebrity cover of the Buzzcocks' 'Ever Fallen In Love...' is being released as a tribute to John Peel. This was one of the songs in the DJ's treasured record box, where he kept his all-time favourites under lock and key.
Gordy has designed the cover for the single. Speaking to NME, he said: "The design of the single is quite simple - very Bloc Party - but I wanted it to have some warmth to it, which you don't always get with our sleeves. The single is about John Peel, who we loved, and it's also about Amnesty, so the heart motif fits in nicely with their 'Protect the Human' message as well as referencing the original sleeve."
Some of the other musicians involved in making the single are Pete Shelley (of the Buzzcocks), Peter Hook, Robert Plant and Roger Daltrey. All proceeds will go to Amnesty International.
