These two videos were filmed in late 2004, on Bloc Party's first ever US tour around toilet-sized venues. They were professionally recorded for Bloc Party's US record label at the time, Dim Mak, but never saw the light of day. No rare songs unfortunately, but it's a pretty good opportunity to see early Bloc at their best. Download them both below!
In The Union BLOG PARTY has managed to get hold of two rare video recordings from back in the day, when 'Silent Alarm' was but a twinkle in Kele's eye and the band known as 'Bloc Party' didn't even exist.
These live videos of previously unheard songs 'Chinese Burn' and 'Rivulet' actually date back to when the foursome were known as 'Union', shortly after Matt joined. They were recorded at the same gig as the three videos that were posted in August. Hope you like them...sorry for any video/audio synchronisation issues! [Click on the song titles for lyrics]
Almost Famous Here's three really old Bloc Party gig videos retrieved from the dusty archives of BlocParty.net. Sorry about the guy whose head sometimes blocks the picture. The cameraman ashed on him when he wasn't looking.
I'm not sure which gig these were filmed at, but they date back to 2004 at the latest (judging by the short haircuts on show and the 'Compliments' prototype they play, which comes complete with a gorgeous spoken word refrain).

"Let's make it beautiful!" Thanks to someone over on Livejournal for digging up these adverts from their old Suede fanzines, placed by a certain Kele Okereke in 1997.
